When I first started Instagram, I didn't know how to take good quality Minecraft screenshots. I started looking, but it was hideous, as there was close to no information on that topic. But you want to learn how to make amazing screenshots of your Minecraft creations to share on your social media platforms and grow, right? Then you're in the right place!

Why are my Minecraft screenshots low quality?

First of all, to make a screenshot in Minecraft you press the F2 key. Okay, cool. But then your screenshot's quality is worse than a potato. Why is that? There are many factors. Maybe your Minecraft resolution is too low or perhaps you are using shaders, and both of them can lower the quality of your screenshots, but! Don't resign from shaders yet! Did you know that when used correctly, shaders can actually improve your screenshot quality!

How to take high-quality screenshots in Minecraft?

1. Increase Screenshot Size

Open Minecraft and go to your Video Settings -> Other... -> Screenshot Size. I like to set it for x3. In general the more, the better. Not every PC can take that big of a screenshot though, and it might just crash your game. Experiment with the screenshot size and see what works!

2. Change FOV Settings

Your screenshots will simply look better if you set your FOV all the way to the left so that it is on the number 30. In closed spaces it might not work that well, because you don't have that much room, then I usually use about 45-50 FOV.

3. Use the Right Shaders

Shaders improve the aesthetic side of your screenshot, but they can be troublesome. To see how to download shaders >>>click here<<. The best shaders so far for the highest quality screenshots are in my opinion Complementary Shaders, very bright and crisp shaders. They work amazingly especially when you are using a lot of CITs (Custom Item Textures) but I often use BSL Shaders as well, they give off more of an aesthetic vibe but are more blurry.
